Mars Conjunct Saturn April 2022

On April 5, 2022, Mars and Saturn form an exact conjunction in Aquarius, which is likely to manifest as some kind of breaking point or breakthrough, though we began feeling this current iteration of this aspect at the end of February when Mars entered Capricorn. In Aquarius, things will have a different flavor, and with this conjunction, we could be seeing a return to conversations we once thought dead as well as a reiteration of where we were in March 2020, though with some Pluto-directed staying power.

Like I wrote about in February, Mars in Capricorn is in a place of exaltation and in this sign, it can give us a boost to our ambitions, spurring us into action. Mars is a soldier, and Capricorn is the battlefield. In February, Mars ignited Pluto's mission in Capricorn, and in so doing ignited a war that will leave an indelible imprint on our world (Pluto's move is always towards the indelible change). In Capricorn, the conversation is on finances and the earth--the battle is tangible.

In Aquarius, Mars behaves differently, turning its mission from the concrete, earthy wars of Capricorn into the areas of information and intelligence. In Aquarius, Mars wages war on the mind. My personal prediction is that information regarding the current war in Ukraine or the information component of the war itself will become known with the help of Pluto, which will currently still be nearby by degree.

It is worth it to explicitly say here that whenever Mars conjoins another planet, it activates the motivations of that planet. When Mars conjoined Uranus in early January 2021, it activated a tense Uranus-Saturn square and then some people stormed the U.S. Capitol. Mars inspired the planet of rebellion, insurrection, and upheaval to act.

In March 2020, Mars and Saturn made a conjunction in Aquarius--the same conjunction these planets are about to make--the world went into lock-down. Mars inspired the planet of boundaries and restriction to act in the way it does--by creating boundaries, by building walls.

Mars, the commander, calls for war, and warriors move into battle.

So, as we once again head toward another conjunction between Mars and Saturn in the sign of Aquarius, the last time these two planets will conjoin in this sign for another 30 years, we can expect some kind of oppression or restriction that, with the help of Pluto nearby, could create lasting change. Something severe, personally and collectively, is coming up.

As Saturn is the planet of karmic justice, we can also expect some karmic baggage to be reopened and some issues that we thought long put to rest to once again be up for review.

On April 6, Jupiter, Neptune, and Venus all enter Pisces, forming a conjunction in the third week of the month, which will give us a measure of escape immediately following the height of tension. Jupiter in Pisces is exalted, so the planet of expansion will elevate our Neptunian illusion and our Venutian drives towards pleasure, and we could end up in either some kind of daydream or a soft yet much-needed reality check. Pisces' influence immediately following one of the harsher moments of 2022 will allow us to plunge into the underwater depths to mute some of the noise of the world, while looking upwards to a hopeful sun above the surface. It's a moment to hold our breaths before we come back up for air.

There is a need for all of us to surrender to chaos in this time, but also to check in with our personal missions and allow our Piscean intuition to guide us. Conflict during this time will lead to change, so my advice is to choose your battles wisely.
