Astrology of the Week of February 21, 2022

This week is about the subtleties. Under the Pisces Sun, personal planets are in conversations with Neptune while Pluto makes its official return on Tuesday. The Last Quarter Moon on Wednesday, which is the denouement of whatever we started working on with the last New Moon. This week, there are opportunities for pleasure and for following through on our dreams, but there also are bound to be profound set-backs. All signs will do well to let go of any illusions of control and just ride the wave of the week.

The most auspicious time of the week for wish fulfillment and opportunity begins on Tuesday, February 22 at 9:55PM AKST and Wednesday, February 23 at 12:40AM AKST while the Moon is in Scorpio.

Mars and Venus continue to create an atmosphere of romance this week. Mars makes a sextile to Neptune on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 and Venus makes a sextile with Neptune on Thursday, February 24, as they travel through the sky together in Capricorn. This gives our dreams and our pleasures a place to explore together, and with Mars in this place, the ability to manifest these into reality.

Wednesday is the day of the last quarter moon in Sagittarius, however, so our energy might be a bit lower than we'd like for dream-manifesting, and last quarter moons are not the greatest times for starting something new. Neptune is all about what is hidden, our dreams and our intuition, so mid-week, find pockets of quiet and stillness and see what dreams rise the surface. Neptune is the planet that says you can't think your way through this one, so let your intuition guide you toward action.

The weight of the week comes later in the day on Thursday when Mercury Squares Uranus, which is likely to disrupt plans and throw a planetary curveball our way. This is a day where the pace of life may pick up or change direction entirely. It would be prudent to spend the early part of the week getting things in order as the weekend might shake up in unexpected ways.

On Saturday, Mercury makes a semi-sextile with Jupiter, which is a weaker transit and will felt less on a cognitive level, but it will give us perhaps a subtle direction on our individual paths in the middle of the confusion we may find under the Mercury-Uranus square while Saturn and Uranus also are still making a Square.

The lesson of this week will be about balance between what is seen and in hard-copy Capricorn and what is behind the veil of consciousness as well as the innate power struggles that happen on and between these planes. Pluto and Uranus, two destructive and energetic planets, are creating much of the energetic atmosphere right now, so in thinking about these two working to overhaul what doesn't work on large and small scales while our souls yearn for our dreams and pleasures, working with these energies might look like a combination of escapism and the ultimate submission to what's possible.
